The Western Canadian Sasquatch Research Organization is a private group of people who study the creature known as Sasquatch or Bigfoot. We concentrate our search into the three (3) main western Provinces of Canada: Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan & the two (2) main western Territories: Yukon & Northwest Territories. We also perform active field investigations within these three (3) provinces & two (2) territories as well. We were formerly known as Central Alberta Sasquatch Research (CASR), a group that was founded in 1999. We changed our scope to cover Western Canada, so we had to change our name also!
We are a "Practical Kill" group, this means that we would only attempt to harm one of these creatures if it showed over-aggressiveness or open hostility towards WCSRO team members or any other person. We do allow WCSRO Team members to carry firearms into the field if they feel the need, but few of us do. The weapon most WCSRO members choose to carry is Pepper Spray, as we sometimes do our investigations in bear country. We are always accepting new members into our organization, if you are interested let us know at the email address below. If you have had any occurrences with Sasquatch, or have any questions, let us know about that too. We also ask that you list your province of residence in the email.
If you or anyone you know has had an encounter with a Sasquatch or have been a witness to Sasquatch related occurrences, W.C.S.R.O. invites you to file a report with us. All information is kept confidential, only being shared with W.C.S.R.O. Research Team members. Just look in the NavBar for the page titled "Make a Report", this will take you to our webform report sheet. You can then make out your report.
Database Note: Not all the dates are of physical sightings. They are a mix of Physical Sightings, Track Finds, Vocalization Reports, & Defined Limb Formations/Tree Breaks.
