‘HAIRY APE’ SCARE LOSES OUT IN WOODLAND WILDS AT CORRY

‘HAIRY APE’ SCARE LOSES OUT IN WOODLAND WILDS AT CORRY
Rose Marie Clabbatz, and two smaller children of Howard Clabbatz, Frank Ross, Fred Lindstrom.
CORRY, Pa., Sep 23-Fears of a “furry thing resembling an ape” subsided today in the Erie County community after a posse of farmers failed to locate the mysterious animal in a 48-hour search.
The “thing” popped up Sunday at the edge of a woods three miles south of Corry and Rose Marie Clabbatz, 13, and two smaller children of Howard Clabbatz, scurrying across fields to their father.
Clabbatz listened to their breathless story about an animal that “started chasing us” and organized a hunting party of 50 persons, many with guns.
Yesterday Frank Ross and Fred Lindstrom said they spied the beast ambling near their farms, on the edge of the woods. Ross said “it” appeared to be four feet tall and “resembled and ape.”
Clabbatz said he believed the animal left the vicinity and now “the women folk and kids dare to go out again.”
Some discounted the ape story, saying the mysterious animal probably was a bear cub walking on its hind legs.

Anyway, as I stand before God, I did not make this up!

Not saying it was Sq/BF/DM/Yeti... but it was strange. And I am locking my doors tonight for sure!

And just I was turning away, I thought I heard snort -- which could have been deer or maybe cattle... but... I do not know.

I did not have the creepy feeling I normally get in these situations... so I really do not know what to make of it.
@ yankeesearch « Tue 12:53 am »
One detail I forgot to mention: the whoop had almost a human like talk after it on both occasions.
@ yankeesearch « Tue 12:52 am »
I walked back to the other side, and thought I heard a knock...
@ yankeesearch « Tue 12:51 am »
Cattle about 1/8th mile away disappeared... and strangely at that location: it sounded like something banged the metal fence. Not loud... but never ever heard it before tonight.

Two whoops... and some deer scattering (they may have been scattering because of me).
