TX COUNTY DATE TR100 J. Frank McAneny REPORT Some years ago I filmed a television news story of one of the first Big Foot encounters in nearby East Texas. A young boy walking home from school literally ran out of his shoes when a huge hairy creature stepped over a four-foot high fence swinging its long ape-like arms toward the frightened youth. He described it to sheriff’s deputies as gorilla-like with large feet and covered with black hair. I searched the area for footprints and discovered some very unusual prints leading up an embankment. These resembled a chimpanzee footprint, but with six toes. According to local zoologists these prints resembled no known animal’s.

She placed some fruit on the fence the following night and the creature quickly devoured it. The woman discussed the matter with me only after much persuasion.

* Jim Hewkin reports a lady telling him of an incident 10 years ago near Sam Houston State Park, Texas (near town of Cleveland). In the early morning on the way to work while it was still dark, she was coming around a double "S" curve and her headlights caught a creature in the roadway 100 feet ahead. It didn't move like a human, as it swung its whole body. It was real big, heavy and brownish. Later her husband found indentations in the mossy area where the thing had walked. There was another sighting a few days later.

TX DENTON 1990 TR#79 33 20N 097 01W * Posted to Internet. In late May 1990, at the Cooke Mountain springs, Texas, where group was camping on north side of Ray Roberts LAKE. At 12:30 AM went fishing and friend mentioned felt something watching us. Trees were moving behind us, and we took a mag light and looked at the treeline and adjacent field. Heard loud screeching roar from the trees, and saw something plow through the trees. Later, they came back with guns and again saw the thing in a spotlight running from them. It was about 8 feet tall, stood straight up with it’s back to them and ran, stopped to look at them. Friend shot with shotgun, and appeared to have been a good hit in the middle of the chest, and it made another intense roar, pushed a cottonwood tree over (8 inch diameter). Group left the area. We have not seen it in the nine years since.

TX ECTOR 1997 TR#73 * Barbie Kaneaster, Bigfoot Headquarters (503-630-5486) Barbie’s father found odd tracks 12 X 14”, near an oil pump, near Odessa, Texas, on Aug 18th, ‘97, near a four foot gate. Her father said these kind of tracks are common down there in the desert flats. The tracks went a ways going south. They were a half inch deep. The weather was 107 degrees all week, with flash floods one night. The only trees are ten feet tall with mesquite bushes eight feet tall. Frank Kaneaster observed and photographed the tracks, but were too light to reproduce here.

TX HARRISON 1979 TR96 323241N 0942202W BFRO* April, 1979, near Marshall, Texas, off Hy. 59. About 3 PM on Easter Sunday, it was sunny and warm. Lady, husband, two girls 6 and 9, were at open pasture and walked to small pond. Behind there was loud crunching in brush. Later while target practicing in a deep ravine, after shooting, large animal lunged into ravine only 10-15 feet away, and all ran to car, the creature following, stopping in brush in front of car. Creature was grayish color, hair 5-6 inches but not thick, wide shoulders, very long upper arms, thighs long, short neck and round head...more human looking than the blocky thick shapes of drawings. There were tales of a Bigfoot from the Caddo Lake area, though the block head had brown hair and was thick through the middle
