Basajaun

In the vast expanses of the world and of it's oceans, there are many cryptid species still undiscovered. Here we open an area on the forum for those other species so that we can post information related to them. From Bigfoot's cousins in Asia, to Sea Creatures, we hope to provide enough information here for people to read and understand them more.

Basajaun

Post by admin » Mon Aug 03, 2020 2:45 am

In Basque mythology, Basajaun ("Lord of the Woods",plural: basajaunak) is a huge, hairy hominid dwelling in the woods. They were thought to build megaliths, protect flocks of livestock, and teach skills such as agriculture and ironworking to humans. The picture is an artist’s depiction of a basajaun and his female companion, a basandere.
