YEARS AGO WHILE VISITING OUR CABIN BETWEEN MOUNT CURRIE AND DARCY I AWOKE EARLY
ONE MORNING TO GO TO THE OUTHOUSE. ON RETURNING TO THE CABIN I NOTICED THAT OUR
TRUCK APEARED TO HAVE BEEN TAMPERED WITH. (THE DRIVER SIDE MIRROR) I WAS
SLIGHTLY CURRIOUS SO I WENT OVER TO TAKE A LOOK.
THE PICK-UP TRUCH HAD BEEN PARKED VERY CLOSE TO THE CABIN NEAR A HIGH KITCHEN
WINDOW (APPROXIMENTLY 5 OR 6 FEET OFF THE GROUND)
NEXT TO THE TRUCK AND UNDER THE WINDOW I SPOTTED WHAT CLEARLY WAS A VERY LARGE
HUMAN LOOKING FOOTPRINT. WE HAVE SEEN MANY BEARS ON THE PROPERTY ( BLACK AND
GRIZZLEY BEARS) AND THIS WAS DEFFINENTLY NOT A BEAR TRACK AND MUCH TO LARGE FOR
A HUMAN (NOT TO MENTION IT WAS NOT A SHOE PRINT) AND IVE NEVER SEEN ANY LARGE
BAREFOOT PEOPLE RUNNING AROUND. OUR CABIN IS LOCATED IN A FAIRLY REMOTE AREA AND
RUSTIC (NO ELECTRICITY OR INDOOR PLUMBING AND A WOOD STOVE FOR HEAT) THE
PROPERTY IS VERY WELL TREED WITH A THICK LAYER OF PINE NEEDELS ON THE GROUND.
ONLY ONE PRINT WAS FOUND, AND I WOKE THE OTHER PERSON PRESENT AT THE CABIN TO
COME AND TAKE A LOOK.
I REMEMBER THE NIGHT BEFOR HAVEING THE STRANGE SINSATION OF BEING WATCHED BUT
DIDNT THINK MUCH OF IT UNTILL I SAW THE TRACK THE NEXT DAY.
FOR A WHILE I WONDERED WHY I ONLY FOUND 1 TRACK IN THAT LOCATION. MY THERY IS
THAT THE SASQUATCH HAD TO STAND ON 1 FOOT IN ORDER TO SEE IN THE WINDOW.

Please tell us what happened (as much detail as you can remember) = My
friend and I were on a day hike to check out an old ruined fort foundation from
the Colonization period. The area is heavily wooded and had just been slated
for logging. Lots of oak, maple and fur type trees present with at least 75
years old growth, perhaps more. Location of the fort was on a small hill,
elevation 900 feet, no more
After hours of searching, we did indeed find the foudation of the fort. It
was evident to us that the site was used by some animal as there was scat and
other sign along with a truely putrid smell.
Having achieved our goal, we started back down to out vehicle. We had taken a
ground sheet to use as shade as it was 27+ degrees and humid.
We set our ground sheet behind us to offer shade as we ate of lunch of
sandwiches.
As we were eating and chatting, I was looking around casually. About 25 feet
to my right and behind (the 5 o'clock position) was a stand of 3 pine trees. As
I looked, there was a shape between the second and third trees that was moving
to and fro, as if jockeying for a better look as the ground sheet obscured us
from view, but did not impeed our lines of sight. I mentioned to my friend (who
was seated to my right) that there was "something" in the aftermentioned trees,
to not be obviuos but to "check your six". My friend did a survey and when he
looked back at me, his eyes were the size of saucers. All he said was "lets get
the f*%k out of here!"
We gathered up our gear, all the time being observed by our new "friend".
We headed down the hill and could hear our traveling companion parallelling us
at a distance of 20-30 feet through the underbrush to about 150 feet from the
main road, at which point it took off back up the hill and such an amazing speed
that myself and my friend looked at each other at the same time and exclaimed
"shit! That sucker is FAST!"
We both knew what we had seen but were amazed that such a creature (or family
of) could occupy such a small province.

Please tell us what happened (as much detail as you can remember) = Camping
in the nat'l forest between rocky & nordegg three years ago.
Heard shrill screams coming from the forest around sundown; I think that they
were at least a kilometer away. They sounded like nothing I had ever heard
before. They still had great volume even though they came from so far away.
The next morning we found footprint like marks in the rocky mud along the banks
of a stream. If I had to take a guess; I would say that they were 15 or 16
inches long.

Please tell us what happened (as much detail as you can remember) = On the
way back from Rocky Mountain House from viewing Christmas Lights, I was a on the
passanger side of the vehicle, front. Time was after 7 pm and it was snowing
quite hard. The exact location has no viable landmarks so referencing may prove
difficult. We were approx. 40 minutes east of Rocky and on the right side of
the road was a transformer box nesteled amidst a small stand of evergreens. I
was looking out the window as my friends were in "country music mode" and I was
trying desperately not to ump out of the vehicle when I saw, not 15 feet away, a
figure standing behind the transformer box. It had to be b/w 8-10' tall, with a
massive structure. I recall sitting bolt upright and staring at "him" as we
passed. Due to the poor road conditions, we were going b/w 40-60 km/h all the
way. As we passed the area, I craned my head to look further, and as I did, "he
did the same!
I sensed no malice in the exchange, but was left with the impression of....
"hey, I may have fur/hair, but it's damn cold tonite!" as these transformers
givwe of a bit of heat.
The best description I can give is to reference friendsofbigfoot.org and look
for the Virginia site. The sasquatch on their banner looks exactly like the one
I saw....complete with snow!

Please tell us what happened (as much detail as you can remember) = My
sister, my daghter and I were travelling back to Whitehorse Yukon, from Carcross
Yukon, it was about 9:30p.m on Thursday Jan 19, 2006. I was driving about 80km
and hour because of the conditions. Anyway just after the Cowley strait stretch
we came around a corner and there it was standing on the left hand side of the
road. It was huge and in the the light reflection kinda shiny, I think because
of the snow and ice build up in it's fur. I asked my sister if she saw that? And
she replied "was that a person? I said no because it wasn't wearing any clothes.
We were both scared out of our wits. We both grew up in the bush, and we have
been exposed to animals both close up and from a distance. This was a not a
human nor an animal either of us has ever seen. We talked about everything we
saw for about five minutes and then turned around and and went back to search
for tracks. I was too scared to stop and we just drove by the area where we saw
it standing. My Uncle lives directly across the road from where we saw it, and
when I got home I called my parents, and they then called my Uncle. My dad just
asked him if he experienced anything out of the ordinary, and my uncle said his
dogs went wild at about the same time. It was a scary and phenominal expeience
that I don't ever want to experience again.

out on a winter ice road, we had to take the ditch as it appeared that a human
being was in the middle of the road. As we swerved the "bigfoot" ran towards our
vehicle then stopped, turned around then climbed a snopwbank and hightailed it.
Standing upright on two legs, all in fur, standing about 6' feet tall.

Please tell us what happened (as much detail as you can remember) = We had
gone to Peyto Lake for a day of hiking in the beautiful forests around the lake.
We had been hiking for about 2 hours when we decided to rest for a spell; off to
the side of the trail. My boyfriend [now husband], was poking around the brush
at the edge of the trail when I heard him say "Oh my god, Leanne come over and
look at this!" When I moved to where he was standing, he pointed to the ground.
There in the turf was a huge footprint, not only long but very wide. It was like
a bare-footed human had stepped right here, though this human would have had to
have had feet that were between 18 and 20 inches long. We both knew what we were
looking at, and almost in unison, we both started moving back down the trail
towards the location of our van. We did not see anything else, nor did we hear
anything. The forest was filled with the sounds of summer life. We only found
the one footprint; thinking back on it, it seemd as if whatever had made it had
stepped from the forest on one side of the trail, crossed the path, and went
into the trees on the otherside. The footprint could have been a week or more
old, though I'm not really sure how old it was.

Is there anything else that you can remember? = We snapped a picture of the
footprints, actually my boyfriend [now husband] did. Taking a picture of it did
not even occur to me at the time.
We know that it would either be a faker, a person with stupidly big feet, or a
bigfoot (I almost feel dumb saying that, I never believed in that sort of thing
before this.

camping at Wollaston Lake in northern Saskatchewan in 1988 we found what we
believe to be bigfoot foot prints.These foot prints were alot longer than my
husband's foot which is a size 12.I would guess that these foot prints were 15"
or 16" long.They were very wide too, but I couldn't hazard a guess as to how
wide.There were about 15 or so foot prints leading into the lake and not coming
out again at least anywhere that we could see.That was all we found.We were
wondering if whatever made the foot prints was still around the area but we
couldn't see or hear anything.So there is nothing more to tell about this.

Heard
Please tell us what happened (as much detail as you can remember) = Saw a
large creature quickly crossing the Klondike Highway by McCabe Creek, from the
north side to the south. Very tall, dark brown hair, very big and very fast.

Is there anything else that you can remember? = Only saw it for about three
seconds.Also heard a "whooping" sound as it crossed the road. It was about 7 PM
.
From the Investigator; I talked with both witnesses on Wed 03 May 05, they
seemed honest to me, I also talked with their school teacher who stated that
they are not prone to telling lies. They estimate the height to be above 7',
shoulders about 3' accross,it crossed the road on the west side of the creek and
went into the bush, a farm is located close by on the south side of the road
about 1 km away, on the shore of the Yukon river, dense bush at the location the
creature entered but little vegetation from where it came from due to a forest
fire that occured in 1995, fair size hills (2642') at about 200m from where it
came from. I checked the area for signs, on Thu 04 May 06, none found.
Both witnesses are member of the Selkirk First Nation residing in Pelly
Crossing, YT.

way to check my rabbit snares I found a number of big footprints in the snow and
in the moss, much larger than human footprints, I also noticed two trees that
were newly broken, they were not broken the day before.
