Date: July, 9/ 2001

Occurrence: I was on the water in a boat headed for the shore lunch area. I saw this large black creature on the shore.  I yelled to the other two people in my boat to look at the area that I saw the creature.  By the time that I got their attention - the creature was gone. My best recollection is that it was loping along and I had a side view of this creature.

The witness saw the creature at about 300 yards walking along a sandy beach.
