Richards Island

Date: 1944

Occurrence: A man reported that while as a young boy, he had been camped on Richards Island with his grandfather. One night he heard strange, frightening screams coming out of the south. He asked his grandfather what was making the sounds, and received the answer as “the Bushman”. His grandfather told him to remain quiet and listen. The screams continued for about three [3] minutes and then cut off abruptly. The witness described them as high-pitched, but delivered with such a volume that there was no mistaking it for any “normal” type of animal sound. Nothing more happened that night 7 the witness believes that this is his only brush with the creature we know as Sasquatch.

Witness: Errol Cobb.
