Date: May, 1/ 1983

Occurrence: Witness states that his camp was harassed by an unknown animal on the night of May 1st, 1983. The witness says howls, moans, & shrieks were heard, as well as something crashing through the woods. This occurred for all most two hours. He stated that at times he swore he could hear something growling at him, and at times there would be almost complete silence, the only sound being deep breathing heard from the trees around the camp.

When the witness stated to shine a spotlight into the trees, the creature moved off. It did not return. The following day the witness found several large footprints near his camp, he estimated the length of these footprints at 16 – 17 inches. There was no estimate of width given.

Witness: Ian Mandrusiak.
