Date: Summer 1971
Occurrence: A Sasquatch was spotted by two [2] people in a canoe. The creature was walking along the beach, it moved towards the cover of the forest when it realized that it was being watched. They described the creature as being between 6 – 7 feet in height, brown in color, & taking huge strides. They said that they believed the creature was a male, as they could see no visible breasts on it.
They later beached their canoe near the area where the creature was spotted & found large footprints pressed in the sandy soil. They estimated that the footprints were between 15 – 17 inches in length, & 5 – 6 inches in width. There were around 14 footprints that could be found.
The witnesses estimated that the total sighting time was no more than thirty to thirty five [30 – 35] seconds.
