Clearwater River

Date: June 1972

Occurrence: A fly fisherman spotted a brown haired Sasquatch walking beside the river, the creature was moving away from the witness’s location. Because of the distance of the sighting (100 – 150 yards), the creature’s height could only be estimated. The estimate given was 6 – 8 feet. The creature did not look back at the man during the entire encounter, and soon it moved off into the forest & out of sight.

The witness stated that the entire sighting encounter lasted no longer than 15 – 20 seconds in total. No estimate was given as to the gender of the creature, as the witness only observed the back of the creature & it was at a distance at that.
