Smokey Lake

Date: 1896

Occurrence: A local legend known as the Muddy Bog Monster. In 1896, a man was out cutting wood, a Sasquatch came out of the forest and ran him out of the area. There have been other encounters with this creature, but the only one that is believed by the locals who know about the legend is the original 1896 encounter.

Witness: Was told about the legend by a man named Perry Skeen.
