Ram Falls

Date: Summer 2002

Occurrence: A young couple had camped at the Ram Falls campground one weekend. Towards nightfall they could hear what they described as “odd sounds” coming from the woods towards the back of the campground. When night fell, they could hear something large pacing back and forth through the woods around their camp. Within moments something screamed at them from no more than 50 yards away. Then another “something” answered back from the other side of the campground. The young couple said that they “felt like they were not wanted there”. After another 5 minutes of this, they both ran to their vehicle and left the campground. They returned in the morning to break camp, but found that something had beaten them to it, literally. Their tent was lying in a broken pile on the ground. The picnic table had been overturned and things had been tossed everywhere. They only took what was important, leaving the rest. The man said that while walking around the camp they had found a large footprint next to the broken tent which was twice as long as his size 9 shoe, making it an 18 inch print.

They both vowed to never go back to the Ram Falls area.
