Devil’s Thumb
Date: 1960
Occurrence: A pair of hikers spotted a large bipedal form walking near the treeline. They then observed it through a pair of binoculars, as it walked into the trees. It was described as being black in color and walking with a shuffling gait. They could tell how tall it was, it being at such a distance, but they knew from just looking at that it was a very heavily built animal.
Devil’s Thumb is a mountain in Banff National Park.
Witnesses: Lorne Davies & Theodore Morton
